Really interesting. I’ve been grocery shopping for myself and most times another person for a little over a year now, and it’s really interesting what I spend on food.
Bread products used to be a massive expense to me before I had to cut it out, and I now have way more money each month for other stuff.
Produce fresh and frozen is by far my biggest expense. I love my fresh veggies.
Meat is barely an issue because I have half a frozen cow to my name, so I only buy chicken or something else once a month and maybe deli meat on occasion.
I can’t think of a single processed product I buy; I make almost everything from scratch. Cereal, maybe? I’ll buy a 2 liter bottle of soda to spoil myself, maybe, less than once a month.
This is kind of really sad.
